While on a guided hike through a desert in Jordan, I got up before sunrise and hiked a hill just beside where we camped. I shot some star photos and then waited for the sunrise and hunted for a good composition. I must confess I did not find a good composition so I decided I would create one using my silhouette. Then magic happened, at least magic for me. The call to prayer could be heard loud and clear from the next town as the first hints of sun could be see over the horizon. The first shot is without my silhouette just when the call to prayer started. After snapping that photo I moved the tripod for a slightly different comp and ran to my spot and stood very still. Both photos are pretty much as the raw file came out. I just did a little noise reduction but no other changes.
