In August of 2016 I set off with a good friend to hike the Arctic Circle Trail in Greenland. To get to Greenland from Boston we had to first fly over Greenland to Iceland. The flight to Greenland was then one on those small prop planes offering great views of what was to come. We then spent a day getting our legs and exploring the polar ice cap on a guided tour. It was unlike any other hike I have ever done; mid summer, hiking on ice that looked like frozen waves carved with streams and water falls.
