Yosemite national park is mix of breathtaking natural beauty along with the stress of congestion of so many people in their cars & campers trying to see it all. So I decided to bypass the cars and take it in by bike. It's also the first place I took a "real" camera, a Canon 5D, Mark 3. I carried it and all my packpacking gear to the park from Fresno CA on my favorite touring bicycle. I'll admit it was a bit to carry but well worth it. I took a photo course there which helped me find the spots and time of day to capture some images. I learned to take my first images of stars as well moving water. I knew nothing when I got there... and had so much more to learn when I left. After my first visit in May 2014. I later returned in January 2015 for a long weekend as part of a work trip to San Jose. This time in a car. It was a dry season without a lot of snow but I had a blast hiking around in a relatively empty park.
